Jersey is the largest Island of the Channel Islands. It welcomes people of all nationalities, and is a safe and secure place to live, making it an ideal location for families.
Jersey offers an easy commute to work, and is one of the most successful international finance centres in the world, offering popular tax regimes. Jersey has two visas options, and they are:
- Investor
- High Value Investor, commonly referred to as a ‘Golden Visa’
The island of Jersey is a British Crown Dependency and part of the Common Travel Area agreement with the UK and Ireland. Jersey’s programme is an excellent alternative to the UK’s Tier 1 programme.
Jersey Visa Information
Investor
- You must must be over 18 years old and have a net worth of at least £2 million, which is wholly under your control.
- You must be prepared to invest on the terms determined by the Minister.
- You are required to make Jersey your main home.
- You can prove you’re able to financially support yourself and your dependents.
- You must not be out of Jersey for more than 180 days in any of the five consecutive 12 calendar month periods preceding the date of the application.
- You have no criminal record, and can demonstrate good character.
Note:
- Visa granted 3 years 4 months
- Visa extension by up to 2 years at anytime
High Value Investor (Golden Visa)
- Must must be over 18 years old and prove an annual income of a minimum of £725,000.
- Must be own a property on the island, generally in excess of £1.75 million.
- Contribute at least of £145,000 in annual tax payments.
- Have no criminal record, and can demonstrate good character.
- Have business experience and pass a due diligence process.
- Contribute to business and social community, e.g. voluntary work, funding education and sporting activities, cultural contribution, create jobs or provide training to residents.
- Need UK Immigration clearance.
Note:
- This is not a citizenship by Investment Scheme.
- After holding residency in Jersey for five years, applicants can apply for Permanent Residency, and British Citizenship and a UK passport after a total of six years.
